Biography

Mr. Peterson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law. His practice focuses on conducting mediations and arbitrations throughout Alaska on a wide variety of civil litigation cases. Prior to working as a neutral, he spent 30 years as a trial lawyer defending health care providers, other professionals and product manufacturers. He has tried many cases throughout Alaska in both federal and state courts. Mr. Peterson has lectured on mediation, case management, evaluation of threshold issues, tort law in Alaska, legal responsibilities of health care and trial skills. Mr. Peterson holds an AV rating by Martindale Hubbell. As a result of peer reviews, he was selected to become a member of The National Association of Distinguished Neutrals in 2015. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and serves on several committees in the Alaska Bar Association.
